Jeff Hallinan was was well respected. He was instrumental in fund raising for Special Olympics, Canada.
Jeff's family asked me to design a memorial space for Jeff that was to happy and full of life. For the space I selected Apple serviceberry trees (Amelanchier Canadensis) for year round interest - white flowers in the spring, red berries and orange colored leaves in the fall, and beautiful winter trunk habit. The memorial stone is Grey Canadian Granite, sandblasted with the Special Olympics logo land a legible font.
My role was the design and coordination of installation of Jeff's memorial headstone and space, with Jeff's family, Special Olympics Canada, Smiths Falls Police Chief Mark MacGillivray, suppliers and contractors.
