Canning Greenworks Studio

I collaborated with school staff to facilitate and plan the completion of two built projects - a student designed and constructed raised vegetable garden and butterfly garden.  These project based  learning activities were cross-curricular in nature involving reading, writing, math, science, geography, construction technology, hospitality and Aboriginal Studies.  Many students showed enthusiasm as this unit sparked connections and creativity.

Vegetables grown by students at St Luke,  supported the school’s hospitality program and was distributed by the Smiths Falls Salvation Army. While flowers from the butterfly garden flowers given to Broadview Nursing home residents, in Smiths Falls.
