Project description
Canning Greenworks developed a conceptual landscape design for the outdoor terrace adjacent to Ottawa City Hall’s annual Rink of Dreams — a public skating and winter activation event organized by the City of Ottawa.

The concept introduced a “Lakeside Cottage Terrace” character: planted screening, naturalized seating areas, and seasonal landscape elements that extend the civic experience beyond the ice surface and connect the outdoor event space to Ottawa’s broader landscape identity.

The project was a collaboration with Brian Dragon Landscape Architecture.

For City clients and event-programming teams: this project demonstrates the kind of rapid conceptual work useful for seasonal activations, public space pilots, and budget-stage decision-making.
