Oberlin Environmental Center

The Oberlin Environmental Center project features plants indigenous to northern Ohio were selected for planting in the swale and wetlands.  Stormwater runoff from on-site sources such as the parking lot, are collected into the system where it is cleansed by plants, microorganisms and soil. Use of natural filtering techniques allows water to be retained and cleaned for reuse on-site. My role, as part of a team, included prepare construction documents for the site’s stormwater management system, orchard and parking areas.
